Why We Value Dress Code
At Heart & Sole, we believe dress code helps dancers feel prepared, confident, and ready to learn. Proper attire allows teachers to see alignment and technique clearly, prevents injury, and promotes focus and discipline. It also creates a sense of unity and professionalism in the classroom, helping every dancer take pride in themselves and their training.
BALLET I-III
*Black Leotard, may wear black shorts or black ballet skirt
*Flesh Colored Tights
*Canvas Ballet shoes to match tights
*Hair in a neat bun
JAZZ I-III
*Leotard or fitted dance top
*Any color dance leggings or shorts with flesh colored tights
*Jazz shoes to match tights/skin
*Hair in a neat bun
CONTEMPORARY I-III
*Fitted dance top or loose shirts allowed with fitted layer underneath
*Dance shorts with flesh colored stirrup tights or any color leggings/sweatpants.
*Apolla Dance Socks matching skin color
*Will also train barefoot
*Hair in neat bun
ACRO I-III

*Barefeet
*Hair in Low neat bun.
LYRICAL I -III
*Leotard or fitted top
*Any color dance shorts with flesh colored stirrup tights or any color leggings
*Flesh colored Footundeez
*Hair in neat bun
HIP HOP I-III
*Fitted dance top or loose shirts allowed with fitted layer underneath.
*Sweatpants
*Hair back in bun or ponytail.
*Black Mid High Top Sneakers
TAP I-III
*Fitted dance top or loose shirts allowed with fitted layer underneath
*Dance shorts with flesh colored tights or leggings
*Hair back in bun or ponytail
*Black Tap shoes
COMPETITION TEAM
*HSDC leotard
*HSDC dance shorts
*Flesh colored convertible tights
*Black or Purple Sweatpants in dance bag
*Black Mid High Sneakers
*Bring all dance shoes in dance bag

*Anything you and dancer can move in
